Wow, it's so funny going through the DA account and looking at where I have come from in the past 3-4 years on here. And without a doubt, DA has pushed me towards better things to do with art.

Those drawings, from 2003.. I was so satisfied with them at the time. LOL, like... omg digital colour. And "L" noses, guh, get them away! I never really seemed to bother putting any detail into eyes, unless that involved HUGE whote spots. Colour and shading = most minimal.

2004... I think I had Photoshop 6 by then... go the layers!
I think I reversed my eye development by just using one colour for the entire eye. How tragic. ;__;

2005 shows more unified colours... actually thinking about composition and what not... failing miserably. I start to colour hair in a way that looks alot better. I think I discovered the smudge tool this year. Power to the smudge!! (pic second from the left lines were by `loish)
This year, I think I learnt the most.

2006.. begins Photoshop 7 era. Eyes... looking like actual eyes! Heads.. shaped like heads! This year I really tried to get skin looking the way I wanted, adding more intense shadows and highlights. And noses, I like drawing noses. (second pic in from right lines were by *frozenlilacs )

2007 - guh... compare this to 2003. WOW
I'm going to muted colours it seems. Maybe more mature pics or something. Trying out metal, textures, patterns and whatever I can throw at the pieces. I think a certain style has developed in the way I draw/colour a face. Certainly with the nose/mouth area. Some of the most detailed stuff I have produced to date!

2008 + ??? who knows ^^
